No, I am not skinny. My weight issues have been pretty much lifelong. As I now weight in at about 210 pounds, and I am a diabetic, losing weight is no longer something I can put off.
This blog, rather my portion of this group blog, is my journey to skinny. Well, less unpleasingly plump. OK, just enough to make my doctor happy.
What’s my diet plan? Good question. I HATE all the measuring and more measuring and measuring some more than goes into making sure you get the correct portion size. It is why I failed at pretty much every diet I have ever tried. It is boring, and it fills my kitchen sink with all these little measuring devices that need constant cleaning and can’t go into the dishwasher because they will melt or something evil. Did I mention I hate cleaning little tiny measuring devices that can’t go into the dishwasher because they will melt or something evil? I have better things to do. Like write blog posts about hating little tiny measuring devices that can’t go into the dishwasher and need constant cleaning.
So, what’s the plan. None yet. Just eat less and be more aware. The last year I have been counting carbs so I don’t die from diabetes. That’s been enough to explode my feeble mind.
In the meantime, I still design. I have a new series going that shows a chef all dressed in a flag of a particular country. They all say something about the cuisine of that particular country. So far I have two. One for France and one for Italy.
Let’s look at the French chef at ink.flagnation.com . The words say, “If God had meant for me to be skinny He wouldn’t have invented French food!” (Actually, in my case it is just food, the ethnicity makes little difference, as I am an equal opportunity consumer.)
But here he is on a white T-shirt. You can buy him by clicking on the picture below or here.
Next we go to ameriwear.flagnation.com, and the chef dressed in the flag of France there. Here is is on a Thermos(R) food jar, to keep your French food hot until lunchtime. To buy it, click on the picture or here.
Next, we visit zaz.flagnation.com to see the Italian chef who says the same thing about the food of Itlay the French guy says about France, “If God had meant for me to be skinny He wouldn’t have invented Italian food!” To buy, click here, or on the picture below.
Dieting is a pain in the rear, but that is no excuse to lose your sense of humor.
